Both sensors replaced. Front connected rear spliced. Where should I start? Need a ECU?

Okay I think it is time to try and get her out of storage and get her road worthy. The codes are still the same. I wanted to(I guess have to) get a pair of Bosch O2 sensors. I noticed there are 2 kinds. One OEm. One costs way more. Which should I get?? The other problem is she has a short some where and it draines the battery.

These are the 4 I see listed. Some one cut the harness from one of the sensors and crimped it. Which one to get?

Anything but the exact fit falls into the "maybe" category. Some people have done fine with the universals and others have had terrible luck. I think it may come down to the funky splice box that Bosch sends with them and a properly soldered and heat shrinked splice and they might work fine.

I need to buy a new sensor for my son's car and I may give the universal a shot, I have not yet had to change any of mine on the Volvos so I have no real practical, hands on experience.

Thanks guys. There is only one thing that worries me. Since there is no harness on one of the sensors should it be cut splices again?

Okay guys had someone replace the sensors with Bosch OEm. I have driven the car for 70 miles and the Emissions module still not ready!!!!! Tags run out at the end of the month. How long do I need to drive it before it the Emissions becomes ready? Thanks
Also had axles replaced when i go over a bump makes some noise. Also noticed an oil leak. Last but not list I get smoke coming in through the vents!!! Boy oh boy what a mess.
