s80 2000 doors wont lock **UPDATE**SOLVED**

Last night I noticed that the remote will not lock the doors or activate the alarm. It will unlock all the doors however. If I try to lock the doors with the key it will only lock the drivers door. If I try to lock all the doors with the button on the door before I close it, it will lock all the doors only a few seconds later all the doors unlock again. Any ideas?

Also the seat belt chime is going off when the door is open.

Another thought, I do have my sons car seat installed with the seat belt. Could the tensioner be causing my problems? I may try unbuckling the seat but it is ridiculous to reinstall.

It does seem to be acting like a door is open, where would I check for door sensors?


***It turned out to be the in the ignition switch / column. Seems it was thinking the key was still inserted. I inserted and removed the key quickly a few times, heard the "click" when I removed the key and presto chimes stopped and all lock and alarms are functioning.
