1999 Volvo C70 2.3 Coupe

Okay, so I joined here a few weeks ago and have been reading through for information. Very good feedback and advice that has not been found elsewhere.

I live in LA and have been without AC for two summers now.
Had an electrical place that specializes in Saabs and a bit in Volvos spend about two hours with no success last August.

I bought a used AC Compressor thinking that was the problem, but an independent AC guy jumped it and got it to work, telling me to get electrical advice per above. Well, I called a shop regarding my sunroof which just failed to seal shut and asked him casually about the AC. Tord, at Two Guys from Sweden, asked me to come by and he would look at it.

He solved the AC problem in 10 minutes and sourced it to a faulty relay switch.
I was shocked that no one else could get this. He charged me nothing for the labor and just for the relay switch. ALL DONE AND FULL AC. I just charged it up with some R134a from Kragen and I'm back in business.

I just wanted to share that with anyone in case they had the same problem.
I also have a spare 99 AC C70/70 series compressor for sale if anyone is interested.

Thank you for the information. Some garages try to go too deep whilst others, usually through experience, start with the small things first. I suspect that you will be a regular at Two Guys from Sweden from now on.
