2007 s60 awd heater fan noise

heater fan has begun making noise on the passenger side. Noise increases with fan speed. Any thoughts?

If your car is still under warranty and you live near a dealer I would let them fix it for free. Any free work by the dealer is great.

Sorry, not under warranty, car purchased used from a local lot. Was wondering if there was anything I could look for, etc prior to a shop visit.

The Volvo gods have smiled and the blower/heater noise has disappeared! (for now)

That doesn't matter as long as your car is under 48k/4yr its covered by Volvo warranty. You might want call Volvo for owner transfer so that you will be notified in case of recall, software updates and etc...

Is it possible to lube the fan motor shaft bearing? Used to be able to drill a small hole in the end of the motor so you could spray lube into the motor bearing.
