2000 S80 Ball Joint Recall

Has anyone had this replaced under the recall? Do you know if it is to late for me to take mine in to get it replaced? Is there a way to tell if it has already been done under the recall?

I have a humming and thumping noise (kind of a whaa whaa noise) coming from the right front tire and I suspect it could be the ball joint.

Call your local dealer with your VIN. They can tell you if it's been done.

I was looking at the year of the recall and had a brain fart. My S80 is a 2001. The recall is for 2000 S80's so I am guessing this recall will not apply for my vehicle.
