Passenger door lock.

I have a 2002 C70. When I use the key fob or the door lock button in the car, it will not unlock the passenger door. I have to reach across and open it with the door handle. It works fine locking it, just not unlocking it. Is it the locking motor? If so, where do you buy one and Is this something "I" can do? I have a little maintenance experience...Oil change, spark plugs, installed radios, etc. Thanks for any information.

Just for kicks, have you tried disconnecting the main battery and let the car sit for 30 minutes?

NOTE!!! Before you do this make sure you have the code to your radio. I know that my SC-901 prompts me for the antitheft code after the battery is disconnected.

Sometimes a battery disconnect will clear up these problems.

Okay, will check the battery thing. My CD player had not been working for a few months, just replaced the car battery and walaahh, it works now.

I tried the unhook battery thing but no luck. I took off the panel and looked at the mechanism. When it locks, of course the white plastic pulls down. When you hit unlock, there is a white piece of plastic, kind of looks like a sickle or half moon, moves counter clockwise then returns to position but no unlock. ?????
