Is the turbo worth it?

what is that $6 bottle of? i would like to try it out...

I can't remember the name but you can buy it anywhere. Think you just dump it in and run it in your engine before an oil change. But check out Seafoam first, used it today for my lifter noise and it worked! Here's a thread at VS:

Thanks for all this great input! Keep it coming. This message board is actually one of the main reasons that I am wanting to purchase a Volvo. I was originally favoring the Nissan Maxima, but I couldn't find near the online support for the car. It appears that the Volvo community rivals the Jeep (my other vehicle) community, where everyone is willing to help you out.

I've had 9 or 10 Volvos now and can't imagine driving anything else except a Toyota truck or a Jeep. I'm always amazed at the community these great cars have created. Even if you get one that need repairs there's many forums that will happily help you out

My V70 T5 is a dream to own. I almost threw it away not knowing what I had, but after I realized I owned one of the best models Vovlo ever made, I kept it and invested more money in it.

Bought a 93' 940 for the gas saving 4 banger and classic "brick" look, which also plan to dump a mess-o-money into for mods and upkeep.

Cars are long lasting mechanically and style. easy to work on too.

Absolutely.

You don't have to hammer the turbo on every trip to the grocery store, it's just nice to have when someone is trying to spear you through the center pillar whilst they text and drive.

Now I have owned both NA and Turbo...

- NA auto: fine and fewer things to breakdown, but of course has less power than Turbo.
If your driving style is conservative, then it is fine.

- Turbo (I have GLT) auto: a bit more fun to drive. But you need to DIY.
The system is a bit more complex (PTC Valve, Turbo solenoid, Turbo coolant hose is difficult to replace etc.). But if you can handle the DIY, then a Turbo is good to have.

Now if I have a choice, then NA + man trans is good enough for me.

I own 3/4….. turbo m56, and auto/turbo and auto /NA

Only Canada and EU got magical AWD and M58 because the World loves them.

The p2 NA m56 is powerful and dreamy to drive and killer mpg

The T5 M56 has miles with smiles

You need one of each.

I saw a few outstanding factory manual cars on Sunday, including one base 850 wagon with graphite interior, manual adjustment cloth seats, and no sunroof, wearing red paint. Made my knees wobble for a second. I had to sit down and some nuns brought me a wet cloth for my forehead.
