It's hard to say.
I paid around $60 several years ago and got a VADIS (single CD) that appeared to have been an actual Volvo produced CD. I have found it to be an invaluable resource. Not sure what the seller is talking about with "setting the date back on your computer". I don't recall having to do that upon installation and I don't have to do that each time I have run the program since.
You could look at it as a moderately inexpensive gamble. If it's legit, it would be a great deal - if not, then you're only out (what was it with shipping?) about $25 or so.
That being said, I usually avoid sellers with low numbers of transactions even with a 100% satisfaction rating. Not that they aren't good sellers with good products but it just gives me more comfort in perhaps taking a risk if, for instance, they have 99.X% satisfaction with 1000 or more transactions.
Have you looked at the service manual download here on MVS? It is for MY 1995, but most of the contents would be true for your MY 1994 as well.
If you decide to purchase the eBay VADIS, let us know how it turns out for you.

Neither of thm cover newer than 2005 . Its funny how they say they will cover up to 2007 models but the list of overed models only goes up to 2005.
If you want 2005 and earlier it should be fine but bit torrents are out there for the program as well for free

There is a workaround for the date, you just have to edit an INI file in Notepad.

I feel like I should point out that it doesn't work on new Windows (vista or 7), so if you don't have an older computer lying around somewhere, you're SOL. It works fine (or DID anyway) on my old XP laptop, but it won't run the installer on my Macbook's XP partition for whatever reason though I've had no problems with any other programs.
