'94 960 fuel rail on a '95 960?

Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.

My research shows one fuel rail for 960s from 1992 - 1994, the B6304FS engine and another from 1995 - 1997, the B6304FS2 engine.

Check your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) as a 1994 car could be a 1995 model. The 6th & 7th numbers tell you which engine is fitted. 95 is the earlier engine and 96 is the later.

i have the B6204F engine.

whats the difference between the 6304 and the 6204?

To the best of my knowledge Volvo have never produced a B6204.

B6304FS & B6304FS for the 960 and S/V90. Other B6 engines are the B6284FT in the S80 and the B6294T in the XC90.

the engine code is "96".

i used http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Vehicle_Id ... /VIN_Codes

and it says it is the "B6204F w/o air pump"

i guess that might be a typo and it's supposed to be B6304F?

Code 96 is the B6304F2, the later engine.
