S80 TDI 1999 SRS Service urgent? Help me

Hello,
I have volvo s80 TDI 1999 year model. Before few days I receive a "SRS service urgent!" message on my bord computer. Can you tell much more about this problem(is it standard service or the problem is bigger), and is it possible to be repaired or I need go back to volvo dealer service garage to rip me off? Is anybody from this forum experienced the same problem?

My SRS Airbag light came on after my alternator went bad. It was putting out 11.5 volts and someone told me if it gets below 12 volts, the computer goes nuts. I replaced the alternator and everything reset itself except the SRS Airbag. I'm also waiting for a reply.

When my SRS Service light came on, I had to go to the dealership to have them reset it. Chances are, there is nothing wrong with your SRS. My light came on because I unplugged one of the climate control plugs when I was removing the stereo. I've heard that even disconnecting the battery will cause the light to come on afterward.
The SRS system has a 5 year unlimited mile warranty. I told the dealership that the light just came on. They reset it for free, since my car was still under warranty. Note that most dealerships will probably charge you a fee for this.

Similar story on my 1999 2.9 S80. The battery died, and had to jump start it. The SRS light came on immediately after the jump start and stayed on. The dealer had to reset it. They did not charge me, but also told me I needed a bunch of work ($2,200). I took the cat to another shop I trusted and checked out a couple items myself to find nothing was needed.
