No hot air from floor vent

Its winter time now, and although we get good hot air from the defroster vent and the dashboard vents, there is no hot air coming from the floor vents, so our feet get very cold. I cannot get air to come out of the floor vents no matter where I place the center selector dial.

What's going wrong? Pls. help

Welcome to MVS,

We need to start at the beginning, do you have an electronic climate control unit or a manual climate control unit? The electronic unit has the temperature marked in degrees whereas the manual unit has a graduated width series of red bars to to mark the heat setting.

The problem is the same but the way to diagnose and fix it is different between the two different styles.

It sounds like the servo motors are not turning enough to get the floor vents to open. You can check them out by removing the plastic by the foot well. Do you know if just the drivers side is not working or are both sides not working?
