I have a Volvo 2001 s60 T. The check engine light has been on for some time. I had a mechanic put his computer on it, and it came back with no error codes. Is there a way to reset the light? It first came on when I changed gas station. I went back to my old gas station, and would like to see if the gas was the problem before I pay for labor to trouble shoot.
any help would be great.

Welcome to MVS. I would try a different scan tool- even one at AutoZone. Could be specific codes that can only be read by a Volvo tool but 0BD-II CEL (check engine light) codes are suppose to be universal.

If the light is on there is a hard code set in the computer. If his scanner has an old program he may not be able to read the codes but should still be able to clear them. Like MIJ said, try a different scan tool.
