1994 850 n/t shifter problem 5speed
1994 850 n/t shifter problem 5speed
150g it apears the 850 is stuck in either 4th or fifth gear,the white plastic ring that holds the shifter in place has come loose(doesn`t want to snap back into place),the shifter does move as does the linkage at the trans,think i have to get to the top of shifter?HELP NEEDED FOR THIS ONE.all my other volvos` are 740`s or 760 ,,,Brad

same happned to mine, I just keep downwards pressure when shifting. and its fine. been like that a year.

I just always hold downwards pressure when shifting up and down through the gears. It keeps the ball in the hole. ha
