Fuel filter ??
Fuel filter ??
I bought and put on a fuel filter and it was longer than the one that was on. After researching I read that the 01 s60 changed parts mid year and that my chasis # meant that I should have gotten the 3.25" filter instead of the 5.25". My question is: Is this a problem? Should I get the shorter filter orbwill it make a difference if I wait till the next filter change?

Hello Golfman, Do it! It's real easy with the "new" connections. Winter is upon us and fuel filters trap water as well as dirt. Whenever I see a tow-in on a freezing day I wonder if there's a iced up fuel filter involved. ----->The maintenance schedule in my 1999 V70's manual claimed a 105,000 mile service interval BUT a Volvo dealer changed it during one of the original owner's service visits. Remember: Condensation (water) in a fuel tank is unavoidable. Also: Take note of the year range of these forums as many issues (not this one) are unique to 'vintage'. Happy New Year, Kira
