850 wagon, 1994, transmission switch part verification

The 850 transmission mode switch (winter, economy, sport mode) is gummed up. I removed it and cleaned it best I could without taking it apart, but the winter button does not seem to move freely.

Looking at replacement parts, the original number on the switch in the car now is 3515004, but according to some sources the part number of the switch should be 9128538 (vin # of the 850 wagon N/A is ...........XR2021226).

This was used vehicle when I bought it and it does have a salvage title from an accident in 2001 or so. Maybe the switch was changed? Or are they interchangeable?

Normally I have VADIS at my fingertips but I am at my cabin at the moment and I don't have the ability to look up part numbers. I will be back in the city on Sunday so feel free to bump the thread if you have not yet received an answer.

Why dont you give Don or Jamie @DW Volvo a call they will find the right one for you, not to mention they are a lot cheaper than your local dealer anyway.
BTW, there are so many p/n changes from VADIS to whatever version they are using now. Last order I sent to Don 2/3 came back w/ new p/ns.
