2000 Volvo S80, a few issues I am having, any ideas?

I recently bought a 2000 S80 2.9 with 132K on it, I had the ABS computer rebuilt which fixed the Christmas tree of lights on the dash! Now I have an issue with the cruise, sometimes it will disengage for no reason and sometimes after it has been running a while the cruise will turn off and not turn back on. The second thing is in the rear suspension, when I hit a bump at hight speeds (over55), the rear end will slide over to the left a little, I thing my strut is blown out on the left rear, there is no resistance on it when prying upward on the bottom of the tire. I ordered one online so hopefully that is it, has anyone run into this? The third thing is while driving around 2200 rpms, the car will surge a little, I have been reading on the ETM thing and I will try cleaning it to see if it helps. I love the car, it is very comfortable but it has a ton of issues. The rear end thing is kind of scary in the winter time too! Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

The rear end problem- your car is probably out of allignment. It is probably that simple.
Cruise control- I would take fuses 21 and 22 out and keep them out for 5 minutes or so. This resets the steering wheel module, which controls cruise control as well.
Surging- clean ETM and change plugs. Make sure to buy a new intake manifold gasket and throttle body gasket (available at Volvo)

I had a 4 wheel alignment done which helped the front end as well, I am sure the left rear strut is blown out, I hear it rattle over bumps. Does anyone know how difficult it is to change? I bought a good used assembly with the spring and everything. Also my cruise issue is still a problem, I tried pulling those fuses but no luck. After it runs for a while, the cruise light on the dash goes off, and it won't turn back on. Now I am having an issue with heat, when the car has been running and I turn it off for a short time and start again, the heat will blow cold air unless I crank it up all the way. Is there a inside temp sensor or something possibly dirty or defective?

There is a temperature sensor in the climate control panel. The is a very small grill-like opening on the front of the panel that might need cleaning. I've heard trying a good vacuum attachment can work.

Your rear suspension has a simple shock absorber, which is very easy to remove and replace. The top of the shock is retained by a nut accessible from inside the trunk, under the fabric panel. To remove it, you only need to insure there is a hold on the shaft to keep it from turning (pretty easy to figure out). The bottom just has a bolt. With both removed, the shock drops straight out (rear should be jacked up). Replacement is a simple reversal of the procedure. I wouldn't think there would be a need to replace the spring or other components if the problem is the shock absorber. The recommended procedure would have been to replace both rear shocks together with new components, rather than to replace just one with a used component.
