Hey guys,
i'm new to this site, and just got a new, to me, 1998 V70 wagon. this is my 5th volvo, but had some questions...
I had a '95 850 wagon and thought that this car would be the same thing... anyway, i bought it without drivign it and it is MUCH tighter, and very sensative at high speeds... is this normal for these cars,, are they stiffer, or tighter???
This car also has new struts in the front, could that effect it?
Thanks everyone, i'm excited to hace forund this forum

There were no major suspension changes from the 850 to the 2WD V70's and S70's, so I would contribute it either to the car having new suspension components or your 850 having worn out suspension components. On second thought though, I know that the 850 wagons didn't come with rear sway bars, but I'm not sure if the V70's did or not. If it does have one, that could be the difference you're feeling.

After drivingit for a while, i notice that it does not come out of turns well, it almost is too stiff to straightenitslef out. secondy, when driving fast, hwy speeds, the the adjustments to keep it straight are almost like notches, it does not have the smoothness in keeping the car straight.
maybe this weill help answer my own question posed to you all.
thank again,

Just wanted to update you all- it turns out that it was a bad rack--- yes, evetn though it had been re[alced 15,000 miles ago, it was bad-
By the way, i have had no help or appolgies from Stamford volvo, and limited to no help from Volvo North America in reguards to this faulty part. kinda dissapointing if you ask me.
thanks for the tips guys-
