XC90 2006 Headlamp Failure message

Post by mjl99 »

I have a 2006 xc90 and I am getting a headlight failure message when the light switch is in the lights on position. Lights work fine when when the switch is in the auto position. When I get the message the lights point down to the ground for a few seconds and then come back up to the normal position. They will keep doing this for a while and then eventually stay up. I think that the lights are supose to adjust automaticaly. I also have to have the switch in the manual pos. to get them into high beem. I wonder if it is a level sensor problem or a bad conection to one of the sensors? I don't know where the sensors are located. I think there are two. One for the front and one for the rear. But I'm just guessing and don't know what to look for. Anyone have any ideas?
