1988 765 turbo

have oil leak,looks like its at the connection around oil filter location,
the filter is offset ,its not like my other non turbos,any help would be apreceated,,Brad

Going by the diagrams on VADIS and memory, the oil filters on the 700 turbo and non-turbo are set up in the same way.

In what way is it offset?

looks like their an bracket that turns 90 degres,so that the gasket is faceing the front,,not like the non turbo facing the pass side of car..Brad

Another look at diagrams shows that the 760 with an oil cooler does have an offset filter. If the leak is in the area of the filter there is, of course, the sealing ring on the filter. Also in that area are pipes and a thermostat housing.

I haven't had any dealings with one of these but think there are several places where a leak could develop.
