2007 S80 3.2 engine temp guage????

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

2007 S80 3.2 engine temp guage????

Post by pj8708 »

Can anyone tell me if there is an engine temperature guage/readout on a 2007 S80 - 3.2 . I know there is none on the main dials on the instrument cluster, but I wondered if there was a readout available by using the "message" feature or "read" feature on the left stalk on the steering column. It just seems odd to me that a car of caliber we all drive, would not have a temperature guage. Any thoughts???

Yep, 1st car I've ever owned without a temp gauge and I miss the assurance of having one. Volvo must feel pretty confident their car won't ever get too hot. No way to retrieve the info that I know of other than connecting to the computer. I guess if the car ever overheats we'll get an "I" message to set up a service appointment real quick.

This is a first for me too. My Lexus has a temp gauge, but my Volvo cost more and dosen't have one! I like being able to see how long it will be before the needle moves off cold and I can crank up the blower on Our cold Iowa winter mornings.
Thanks for the response.

Really? Man, the last car I owned that didn't have a temp gauge, was a 1970 Monte Carlo. If the idiot light came on, you were screwed.
