Anyone ever successfully extract a broken headbolt? Any tricks out there that would improve our chances of success.
Present plan:
Soak in Kroil for 2 days
Machine up some drill guides so we can accurately center on stud
Work our way up from 3/16 to 23/64" dia.
Use #5 1/4 easy out- we were leaning towards this somewhat oversized easy out due to expected required torque to entice stud to move

Broken Headbolt 1995 850 2.3L
I've done it with a Gator Easy out after soaking for a while and a gentle tap in the centre to free off any corrosion
Only ever had to drill a centre pilot hole reverse drilling with the Gator has always worked

If it broke flush or above the block surface, weld a hex nut to it, and unthread it. The thermal shock of welding the nut in place assists in releasing frozen threads, and you might find it comes out with little effort.
