V70 2004 rumbling or rubbing in front

Sometimes it sounds like something is rubbing, when moving slowly with wheels turned; this has just developed. This vehicle is in excellent shape, about 48,000 miles, dealer maintained and garage kept. What could the noise be?

Hello, With wheels turnED or while turnING the steering wheel? Have you strayed from factory sized tires? Visually check for a loose fender liner or "polished" zones. Have a friend walk beside your car when you duplicate the noise. If you've turned the steering wheel to lock (fully to one side or the other), ease up a bit. Raise the front end and turn the wheels with the weight removed. Turn each raised front wheel and listen. Get back to us. Kira
