maintainence at 162,000

i am having the timong belt and serpentine belt replaced at 162000.
Is there anything else besides the obvious air filter that should be at this mileage/

how about transmision fluid?

You are about 20k late on the timing belt but better later than never. This is the change that hurts the wallet - you really need to change everything in the timing belt chain. Along with the belt you should change the tensioner, the tensioner roller, the idler roller and in my case I go ahead and change the water pump which is driven off of the timing belt. The water pump is a source of great debate but I have had two of them that were in the process of destroying themselves at the 140 K interval but then again I had an original that was just fine at 210K - I replaced it anyway.

The rule of thumb is that you change out everything on every other timing belt change. Your first belt change should have been at around 70 k miles.
