steering wheel removal/replacement

Post by new2volvo »

hi all-can anyone please tell me how to remove my steering wheel from the column so I can change it-i found one in almost new condition at the salvage yard but it is still on the column and i just want to swap them-would it be easier to change the entire column? I have never tried this on a car before so any advice would be greatly appreciated-
my car is a 93 850 glt-non turbo
the donor column/wheel came from a 96 type r 850

thanks

Go to step 4 of that, and it describes the procedure pretty well. DISCONNECT THE BATTERY FIRST! Airbags hurt.
