Finally! I am 99.99% sure I've found my problem. My TPS is probably giving me theese problems.
I have one last question, the volvo dealer doesn't sell the tps separatly and I wonder It's even possible to just replace the sensor only??

Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.

4-1-1 is Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) signal error. Possible causes are wiring fault; accelerator cable adjustment; faulty TPS or ECM fault.

Check the wiring to the TPS then, with a voltmeter, check for voltage at the plug.

Values should be as in the attached.

I have a 480 -88 and i cant find a obd unit ...
where did you find the voltage values for the tpsensor?
I need the values for all the sensors since i cant find a obd...

The OBD was first fitted to the 1990 cars.

I shall post the values for you but it will take time to collate them so please be patient.
