I went to the Volvo stealer today and had the trans software upgraded. Trans shifts perfectly now. Only costs me $150. They deactivated the stop neutral function which I believe was causing the trans to downshift weird at a stop.
Anyway.....
While they did the upgrade, he read the codes for the CEL and told me it was the boost pressure sensor that could be bad. I agree with this because the turbo doesn't have the same kick it use to.
They wanted $125 for the sensor. Where is it located and can I put it in myself? And where can I get this part cheaper?

Look above for genuine Volvo parts. its a Bosch sensor so if you search for the part number you can find it even cheaper. These are well known to fail.
Its number 18 in the digram. Some of them wer located in the intercooler pipe so its either in thepipe or on the intercooler like in the diagram. Use to be on the intercooler pipe that went low behind the radiator

I thought they did but it seems to say S80 . When I type in the part number it comes up.
If you have any questions with myvolvoparts you can allways call Tasca or Darel Waltrip or Boston Volvo. Even my local Volvo shop Nashville Volvo will discount it and send it.

It looks like it- call a local Volvo dealer and double check part numbers before buying anything. You are right about myvolvoparts online not listing it under a 2001. I would give them a call or email them if you wnat to use them to buy from. Just to make sure.Old Blue 66 wrote:Is this it? http://www.koperformance.com/online_ord ... 8677288-14
