A/C system recirc motor problems

The recirc motor that operates the outside air damper keeps clicking and resetting itself when I switch it "on" (i.e. closing the damper to recirculate cabin air). See the video:

Looks like the arm gear may have jumped some teeth or motor limit switch is bad??
Anyone had this issue and got it fixed?

The teeth on the gear in the motor are broken. You best bet is a local junk yard but if that fails try Erie Vo-Vo. There is a link on the top of the page.

Junk yard shouldn't be to much, Sure you may have to spend 30 minutes getting it out, but hey, 30 minutes and 30$ is better then paying more then you have to.

If you are able to find one at a pick-n-pull yard be sure to note the position that the damper is in as you remove it and install the replacement in the same damper position in your car. It is easy to get 90 degrees off which will instantly put you out of range when you hit the switch.

Where is that located? Where was the picture taken from? Is there a step-by-step to R&R?
Could this be the problematic blend door that causes the double flashing lights?

That motor is behind the glovebox and the photo was taken from the passenger's side. I wrote up a DIY on how to disassemble one of the motor actuators...
