Vacuum hose kit for '98 xc70?

Post by twlaub »

I got tired of trying to find a vacuum leak and have decided to replace all of the vacuum hoses on my '98 xc70. I searched the web and this forum for a vacuum hose kit but found nothing. I'd be glad to buy the parts separately from eeuroparts but I need to know how much vacuum hose to buy. Does anyone have any idea how much of the 5/32 vacuum hose I need to replace ALL of the vacuum hoses on this car?

Many of us use silicon hoses from http://www.stylinmotors.com/volvo.html
I think you still can get 10% off by using "volvospped" code.

Thanks! Do you know if the kit comes with the connectors too? The description just mentions vacuum hose of various sizes.

As far as I know it does not come with connectors since there is no need in most cases (PCV portion is bit different).

I always use plastic tie straps (zip ties) for good measure...they will come with the hoses but you might need a few more- they're cheap anywhere.

Thanks for the picture! It is a great help. So this means these hoses are sized to fit the nipples and these replace the 5/32" hard plastic white and purple lines I have running around the engine now, right? Sorry to be so needy but I just don't want to buy these and find out they don't work for ALL the vacuum lines.
