CD player fix? Topic is solved

my 1997 volvo 850 has a stock in dash CD player. The player feeds and ejects CDs but will not play them. The radio has been reset (im familiar with that process..have the code etc) but the CD will not play. any one have any ideas at all? i would love to be able to listen to somthing other than the radio as i drive.

Are the CDs ones that you burned ?

Nope, i have tried with store bought CDs that i know are functional in any other player.

I had the same problem a while ago but fixed it by using one of those cleaning CD's. Probably the lense is dusty, try that.
