Hey folks,
Got a question for you. I have replaced the head on my son's 850 and got everything running but there seems to be a lack of power. Now to get to this point took a while since this was my first Volvo engine to work on. From all that I have read, I still have not been able to extrapolate the the best way to time this motor. It seems to me that we are just a few degrees away from optimum and then the computer takes over. Once the car makes it past 1st gear it does ok getting down the road and maintaining posted speeds but that first gear and first quarter mile is pretty anemic. The car doesn't backfire or run like it's missing, just low power. Any suggestions?? HELP !!!

I'd suggest checking all intake hoses. i did the same thing to my (turbo) several times today after I kept blowing off hoses that weren't clamped down tightly.
