Last night I experienced something I never have before in my '94 850 (automatic). The light turned green and I pressed the accelerator but the car did not accelerate nearly as quickly as it usually does. After every light, the same thing. On the longest stretch between lights, I actually got up to speed and as I got to the higher gears, I had my normal power- it was just from a stop that I had this hesitation. Needless to say, this caused much panic in this Volvo owner! Does this mean that my Tranny is on the outs?! Is there anything else that could cause this momentary lapse in power?
This morning I took the car around the block out of curiosity and I had my acceleration back. Full power from a stop. All systems go. What gives? Was last night a warning? A beginning of the end scenario? I need support- technical and moral! Please help as I am at a loss!
Is my tranny in trouble?
