Hi folks:
Just got a 2002 S60 with 159K. I thought everything was in order. After changing registration, took it to get detailed, and the battery died. Jumped and ran right to auto parts store to get battery checked. On the way to the auto parts store, I had cold air for 5 minutes and then it started blowing hot. Battery was toast. Battery guy says that A/c is susceptible to shut down with a bad battery. That was a first for me. After installing new battery, cold for 5 minutes and then hot again. I am going to charge a/c and see what happens. Dilemma: From my view, I see a cap for a R134 fill connection near the rad. Is this the place to put the refill fitting? I can't get the cap off. It is marked "6nM. Does it just pull off, or is it threaded? I have been turning it counterclockwise, but it doesn;\'t come off. I don't want to force it. My last Volvo was a 97 s90, and that is where the a/c was recharged.
Any constructive criticism is welcomed.
I also need a repair manual. No Haynes, Chiltons are available. What is VADIS?
Thank you.
This is a wonderful resource.
Regards,
Toddio
