Bizarre electrical problem regarding interior lights.

1998 V70.

I recently bought replacement LED's for the dome lights and the passenger interior above-door lights.
They are blue. Don't make fun of me. It looks awesome. I got them from autolumination.com.

All four original light bulbs (2 dome and one for each passenger light) are exactly identical, even in markings.
All four LED bulbs are exactly identical. All 8 of the light bulbs work, I've tested them.

The problem is that the backseat above-door light sockets don't agree with the LED bulbs, and will not light them up.
I have switched the new bulbs around through the dome lights, and they do all work.
I have taken apart the backseat above-door lights, and looked carefully at the connections, and they SHOULD work.
I put the old bulbs back in to make sure the sockets are still functioning, and they are.
Everything would seem to be in place for the LEDs to light up, but they just. Won't. Light. Up.

My only theory is that, since the LEDs do use less power than the originals, they aren't "drawing enough power"
from the sockets to activate them. I really have no idea if that is at all a possible explanation; I have no expertise.

I have tried reversing the polarity via the connection to the light sockets and this does not seem to work.

Thoughts? I'll post photos so you guys can see just how awesome these lights are.
