slim jim rear door, 99 s80?
Friend just bought a 99 s80. The rear door wont open. I read about getting in by destroying the inside panel. Anyway to slim jim it instead? The lock knob moves up and down and i hear mechanical stuff going on inside the door.
Just posting incase someone else has a door that wont open and finds this thread.
The outer door handle has a rod that pushed down on a lever. The rod sometimes comes loose. Find a long thin piece of metal and a flashlight. Roll down the window and put something between the weatherstrip to open it up. All you gotta do is locate and push down on the lever.
Once door is open take side panel off and fix the rod.
