There is a relay, but if the rest of your locking system/alarm is working, then the relay is fine. The rest of the central locking antenna/wire harness is behind the glovebox liner.

One quick trick...slam all your doors, trunk, and give your hood a good slam. Sometimes the car not knowing the hood is shut will freak everything else out.

I will take a photo of it when I get back in, going to try this. and possibly what you just said.

Turn ignition off. Remove and check fuses No. 15 and 32.
If fuses are defective, system may have exhibited a temporary overload
or fault in central locking system. Replace fuses and go to step 5).
If fuses are okay, go to next step.

Just a quick question. Sorry if it's been covered, but:
I'm just wondering if the system itself is working, without the remote...
Do the central locks work with the key, the lock knob or a dash switch?

yes it was.

turns out I was overloading the circuit, so it kept blowing fuses.

15 would blow, then 32, then 15 and so on, so I just followed the directions and it fixed!

well from what I have read.
I was sending surges everytime I started the car due to not tightening the negative terminal all the way.

when I would hit bumps it would fall off and when you turn the car off you couldnt turn it back on untill you pushed it back down.
which then would set off the alarm if you opend the door, when that happens it surges, now the central locking is connected with the alarm system.
when that happens you surge it all, so fuses blow.

thats what I am thinking happend. since its been 1-2 weeks since I had my battery like that from doing a modification on some stuff I never tightened it all the way. and this started about 1-2 weeks ago.

going to do somemore research to see what more exactly could have caused the fuses to blow.
might just be as simple as cleaning some contacts to avoid it in the future.

I have an 98 S70, I the unlock button wasn't working on mine. When I open open the mechanism and inspected the the brains I noticed the due to dropping the key chain on the floor (normal every day issues) the sodering broke on the unlock button. I took it to a computer repair shop and for 10 bucks they resodered it. Good as new.
