Greetings from across the pond in the sunny (?) UK.
I'm Chris and I live in Bristol historic city.
I recently bought a '99 V70 - which, despite being a little long in the tooth with (not for Volvo) highish mileage and still being reasonably OK all over, will be my auto for a few years. It's not a project as such, but I want to make it a lot better than it is at the moment. Fortunately the engine seems to run as sweet as it ever did - even from cold. Not a rattle anywhere.
Already, through surfing this site, I've picked up some good ideas and seen that there is a lot of willing help available. I just have to accept that the steering wheel is on a different side over here.
So, in advance, I'll thank in advance all those who will probably offer helpful advice in answer to the darn-fool questions I'll probably be raising.

Welcome to the forum, we're glad you decided to join up!
It sounds like you're one that does their homework first before asking a question...we like that. So I assure you that no question is "dumb." If you can't figure something out on your own, that's what the site and people are here for!
