It's an internet forum... but I also don't really understand what you're getting at. People know things about these cars, some more than others. People deliver their knowledge in different ways, and handling it maturely is all part of being an adult!

So take a few of these friend,

NCTrooper,

Thanks for all of the help you have given. I was sorry to hear of your frustration. I understand what you are saying. Anyone with your level of skill would be a help to the site. Perhaps you could state your method and then ignore the comments. Not everyone here will know as much as you do and even if the original poster doesn't get it -someone down the line will benefit from your knowledge.
Trust that good advise will be a help in itself.

If you are given a response that is less than civil please let a moderator know.

Best Wishes,
John

What gets me are people that have been on here for less than 6 months,
have contributed all of 35 posts and start whining "Nobody Appreciates Me! "
What are you? Some kind of egocentric Volvo God? Get Over Yourself...

That's my first reaction to your post. But, I don't like to be "That Guy".
The other side of me just figures that you've had a bad day and didn't
really think it through before you hit the SUBMIT button. I get it...
Not everyone knows everything, but by the same token, neither do you.

We all have our little bits and pieces to contribute here. That's what it's for.
So just remember that we're all just volunteers here and only trying to help.

NcTrooper,

I too am sorry to learn of your frustration. We all have days when we think "enough is enough." However, this forum is one of the friendliest anywhere, so we soldier on. All of the members who give help do so with the best of intentions. Sometimes the advice isn't quite accurate but that is often down to the way the question was asked - not enough detail given. I do think we get there in most instances but all too often the person with the problem doesn't let us know the outcome.

By the way, what was the outcome of your problem that you posted on the day you joined the forum? Having now learned that you have worked for a Volvo dealership for over 20 years I am surprised that you needed to ask that one.

Thank you for your input since January.

Bill.
