Over haul due

My 95 850 is showing signs of needing new piston rings. Unfortunately more than cleaning the PCV gear. Can anyone tell me if the pistons will come out the top of the engine so that I can do the job without removing the engine assembly. A bit disappointing really at 190000km.

If you are doing rings also do the rear main seal. Yes the engine will need to be removed.
