Thank you and good bye

Hello All,
My 1995 960 will be in different hands tomorrow. The car either dropped a valve independent of the timing belt, or the head/belt went out of synch.

I looked for 960 engines for a while, and decided to let the car go. I did happen to find a very interesting resource that members might use in the future.

Jaspers Engines and Transmissions supplies a very large amount of remanufactured engines (that is, full blocks, sleeves, bearings, rods, crankshaft and heads if need be.) They may or may not have your engine in stock, but I would look into them if you find yourself in the situation of a car you love and want to keep.

I appreciate all of the help I received on this board. However, I am giving up my love of Swedish cars for the warm, cheap parts world of Toyota, Honda and Hyundai. They lack the pizazz but there is a lot to say about reliability and low cost.

Take Care,
Bright
Many Thanks,
Bright

You don't need to own a Volvo to stay on the forum. Check in from time to time as your experience may be what is needed to sort out a problem.

Good luck to both of you.

Take care bright! I still remember your input on that thread regarding Volvo being sold to Geely. haha I said this before, but I always get a little sad when a member leaves the forum. Take care, stay safe, and don't drive your Toyota/Honda/Hyundai like a Volvo...it won't work out. ;-) lol
