LOL ... Yeah. I caught that too! Hence the "whoa"! ... After, was Just was hopeing you two would not notice!! LOL ... But am damn glad you did because had I not, I REALLY would have felt the fool had I bought a 960 TB!!! I actually had read something somewhere here, who knows where, just stuff you stick in your brain just cause, about this. I checked it out.
Nice to know my back is covered by folks who actually cover it though. I love this place!!!
Open your mouth, insert foot, wait 5 minutes, someone lends you the tool to extract it!!! Hahaha ... Way fine!
Thank you gent ... uh ... Guys! ... Actually GALS too!!! Much appreciated! ... Great Idea Rob! ... I'm just going to order the plate from DW. Nearest "pick & pull" is twenty miles & between time & fuel it's not worth the hassle.
I'll get back with results to this thread though. It will be interesting to see other results. I already get 24 MPG now.( City & freeway pretty even both.) If I find the need for a whole throttle body, I'll make the trek to the JY.
Thanks for being on top of this & actually listening to my post!!!

SOKAY!,
Changed out my throttle plate today. Took about 1 ¼ hours..
NO stuck screws or bolts. Previous owners obviously had a conscientious & knowledgeable Tech judging by the antisieze & thread locker on every bolt & screw. (He even filled the torx heads in the two plate screws w/loctite to protect them from rusting)

Extra time was taken because I cleaned everything I could see as I went along.
Procedure itself was maybe 20-30 minutes total w/no cleaning & you were able to just swap the plate out.

Checked full throttle with the old “stick holding the pedal down through the steering wheel spokes & C clamp trick”. … Right on the money! Idle stop was set properly too.
Lubed everything, buttoned her up, disconnected the battery to reset the “brain” & drove around town on a couple three errands.

Right out of the box, throttle response was better! Maybe 30% better but a better ruler would be my perception as to “ease of driving” … A LOT less effort. (I have an automatic trans) Nothing dangerous or sudden just less conscious effort to step on the pedal is all. You don’t feel like you are driving a fully loaded cement truck. (I’ve actually done that too.) The car “feels lighter”.
I’m hoping I might realize a better MPG from this but fact is, for the $16.00 bucks I spent on parts, I would do this mod just for this particular result I've already realized. The car is a lot more pleasant to drive.

I’ll report back on MPG in a week or so.

OK!
Two tanks of fuel later, 35.6 gallons actual, I have good news ... LOL ... At least for me ... I have gained 2.3 MPG. ...
I think this is awsome in that my car is a lot more fun to drive AND I get better MPG.

That said, I don't think the perfomance has changed much ... I mean, hello, this is a N/A GLT 850 sedan but regardless, I'm glad I did this. 0 to sixty is truly better, top end is the same.

I earlier stated throttle response at "3o%" better ... NAH! ... Just easier to drive & so different that it "felt" so. Maybe more like 15% but the "perception" feels better than that. ... If you live in snow & ice country & tend to spin tires a lot on ice (I lived in Michigan for a while, "Marquette", "upper" (YOUPER) ... This might not be a good thing to do. The throttle is not smooth. It "jumps" a scoche. ... I'm now in Kalifornia, & this is not a problem. I just start a little more agressivley but instantly back off some. Sounds strange but after starting out from a complete stop the throttle response is sooo much better. ... It's from a dead stop where it jumps some.. ... Which may cause tires to spin on ice. ... I'm thinking this is what the designers were trying to resolve with the original throttle plate.

I'm glad I did this! I'm winning all around but I see where the original throttle plate design came from. SNOW & ICE! I don't have either in the SF Bay Area, Kalifornia, USA & this mod is worth every penny & minute I spent on it.
