Re: passenger door lock actuator

My front passenger lock will lock by itself but not open. It's a pain, but I've kinda learned to get used to it. It's one of those things that I'll get to *eventually* but it's hard to just the $125 bucks or so right now when there are other more important things to be done.

So people who get rides from me can just suffer they wait for me to reach over and pull it up. :D

The price with shipping should be around $135.00. It is a new volvo part. You can also look on e-bay but there are limited guarantees and you are not always sure of what you are getting for a cheaper price.
Hope that helps you. John
You do not, all the same.
Each lock though is door specific (4 doors, 4 different actuators).
Try Erie for used (guaranteed for life of your ownership of the car)

Hello !! My daughter has a 2005 S40 T5. The front passenger door will not open from the outside or inside handle. When I press the unlock/lock button on the remote or door, I can hear the actuator.
But the door will not open. I managed to get the inside door panel partially off from the rear
and can see and reach all the way down to where the inside cable goes into the door. I tried to get access by removing the bolts I could reach on the inner metal cover but it will only move a half inch or so and I can not get into it. I have to get the door open to remove the panel completely to see what is wrong, but can't figure out how to do it !! Any suggestions would be great !!!
