fading rubber/plastic trim on 850

I used the Mothers to great result. Scuff it ever so slightly first and apply a second coat. Worked well with mine. It is' dark black you want, go to a hockey supply and buy toe black. It's a plastic that you brush on the toe caps of hockey skates, (they get very chewed up) and it solidifies and it's a nice dark black.

All of the products like "Vinylex", "Forever Black", "Armorall", 'Mother's", etc work----for awhile...I finally gave up and painted the bumpers on my wife's 1991 740...Easy, if you don't mind doing a little bit of masking...IPD has the paint...If you don't want to paint, I found Vinylex the best of the rest...

I use olive oil. It looks good for a short-term shine. I wipe it on, then wipe it off after it has soaked for a while. It is good for a while, but attracts dust. It is pretty quick and easy.

I have tried the Kiwi black shoe polish (not the dye) and it has lasted about three months before it faded.
1997 855 GLT (Light Pressure Turbo) still going strong. Previous: 1986 240 GL rusted out in '06, 1985 Saab 900T rusted out in '95, 1975 Saab 99 rusted out in '95, 1973 Saab 99 rusted out in '94
