97 850 Brake Caliper Bracket - Broken

Post by tomlandy »

Does anyone know the part # for the front drivers side brake caliper bracket 97 850 Base? (Or, does anyone know where I can pick up a spare one?) Was doing a brake job, and it looks like this one has been broken for quite some time.

Thanks for your help!

I'm at the cabin and don't have VADIS here to look up numbers but one solution is to buy a rebuilt caliper. The NAPA rebuilts come with the bracket and they insist that the old bracket be returned with the core. ---- They never said that the bracket had to be good.

The rebuilt calipers cost around $70.00 with a core charge that is nearly the same as the price of the part.

Thanks - I'll give that a try and see what NAPA has to say. :)
