Stupid Headlight Wiper!!

Post by Dasrah »

Hi, I have a 2001 V70 T5 and today's problem is the headlight wipers. The wiper on the passenger side has just stopped working, which wouldnt bother me except for the fact that its pointed straight up and down! Im assuming the motor has failed, but I was wondering if there is anything else I could check first, like a connection point or electrical connection. I checked the fuse and its fine. Any suggestions would be great!

It looks ridiculous and its starting to bug me :x

Unhook the plug, move the wiper back down.
If you cycle the wipers they should go back to the proper resting spot

If I force it back down, Im going to break it. Unless you mean I should remove the arm itself and then try to reattach it at the right spot? And, yes, they SHOULD go back to the proper resting place, but only the driver's side wiper moves at all. What it used to do was every now and then it would get stuck and not return like it should, but if I ran them a few more times it would generally end up down. Then it got stuck and stayed that way. Grr. . .

Thanks for the post, Ill fight with it a litttle today and see what happens :)

FINALLY! For no reason at all, the wiper decided to lay back down the other day so I promptly yanked the fuse to it so it will stay that way! Now if I can stop it from squirting fluid I'll be stoked
