I'm told they run best on the Bosch copper. We have a 97 850, and the cheaper Bosch seem to be what the Volvo's like. http://www.ipdusa.com/version.asp?strPa ... V_ID=11461

I'm pretty sure they should be the same size as the ones you are pulling out.

+1 OEM or Bosch Copper, the fancy plugs don't run well.

Hi, what engine?
Please use only the Volvo Plugs if you have a turbo model.
I tried all the others and had either problems or the plugs where useless after 10k miles
For him: 2005 V70 R AWD & 1998 V70 R FWD manual BSR Stage 1
For her: 2005 S40 1.8
Ex: 850 T5, 850 2.0 20V, S40 T4, 245 2.0 and some others

I know this is an old, and possibly well worn topic, BUT on FCP Euro's website they have different plugs listed. The last time I changed my plugs I used the copper ones. Are those now the "Bosch Super"?

Also, what would be the benifit or detraction of using the step up "Bosch Platinum" plugs?

This is going into a 1997 NA 850.

Thanks,

Dustin

Yeah, I have heard that, but why? They just don't last as long? Cause mis-fires? I'm just trying to understand this better, that's all.

The problem reported with Bosch platinum plugs is misfires; I don't know why.

OK, thanks. So the "Bosch Supers" are the regular Bosch Copper?
