I guess we were all wrong it was the Clutch. The power relay to the Compressor was cycling on and off but there's no air!

Bought a used compressor with 6 month warranty (http://www.tomsforeign.com/) so if anything goes wrong they send you another one.

Again, this is a new COMPRESSOR not just the clutch, for $65 with FREE SHIPPING. I'm in no way affliated, but just so VERY happy to be able to afford cold air in my car! :))

Tried search but didn't find one thread about how to measure the gap. Anybody knows how? What's the right gap distance?

I went to airconditioner.com. There is no comprehensive information on how an air conditioner works, or even automotive air conditioning units.

On airconditon.com's page, right at the top, it says "In the spotlight"...Below that another listing says "Most popular A/C knowledge base questions"...Clicking on Item #4 under that heading (How refrigerant flows through the system) brings up a page explaining operation...The most important item is item #1, "Troubleshooting with gauges"...Hope this helps...

I just re-read your post...You were on the wrong web site...It is "airconditon.com"...There is no "er" after "aircondition"...

Has anyone just welded the inner to outer sections of the fan clutch together?
