replacing lighter

replacing lighter

greetings to all,
my lighter stop working recently so i checked the fuse, which happened to be fine. so i took the lighter tray out to replace the receptical. is there a way to seperate the tray from the receptical or is it one piece? thank you for your time.

The back housing should unscrew and release the lighter receptacle. You might be able to get by with a universal replacement but it will not have the tab for the lamp that lights the ring around the lighter socket.

You need to remove the center console to get to the bottom of the lighter to replace it.

i was able to separate the receptacle from the tray....where can i find a replacement with the clear plastic around it?

i put a universal one in there...i fits pretty good...has an orange light though, im sure thats gonna drive me nuts soon. thanks for the replies
