Radiator cap pressure question

Post by dmb41 »

I recently had my radiator replaced and I after a couple days I would smell coolant but there wasn't a leak. The next time I smelled it, I looked under the hood and noticed the reservoir was making a hissing noise and saw the coolant boiling. The smell was the vapors coming from the radiator cap on the reservoir. I don't see a leak anywhere and there doesn't appear to be a change in the amount of coolant Is this normal?
