Hi All, 1st time poster here. I have owed a 1994 855 2.4 for about 3-4 yrs without any problems. Ive only done regular maintance (oil changes, air filters, plugs, cap, rotor..) since ive had it. Things are starting to go wrong lately and im not sure how much I want to put into it now. I dont know how many miles are on it (103,000 when I bought it) so maybe close to 200,000 now. Here's whats wrong;
Tires are wearing on the inside. (struts, control arm bushings, tie rods, balljoints ??)
Lately a hard start problem after its warmed up, but starts fine when cold. (fuel filter, fuel pump ?)

I know that might not sound like alot but when I add all this up it does get $$$$

Ok, im through rambling...just wanted to introduce myself and will continue to read about what I can do to either fix or replace her (she's been great with me until these past few months)

PS. I do all my own work but will admit its been a hot summer here in Texas and I havent done much preventive maintance on her this yr

PSS. I forgot to say, I will change the fuel filter this week and, if I check the fuel pressure what should it be at the end of the fuel rail schrader valve 34-45lbs ??

basically you need to raise the vehicle up and check your suspension over. How long has it been since its had a alignment ?

As far as hard start problem.. it could be your fuel pump relay ( common problem ) or the fuel pump is getting hot and failing on you. If i remember correctly with the FPR disconnected the fuel press. should be like 42psi...

200K miles is not a lot on these cars to be honest. Besides the issues you mentioned, how does the car look. Is it still in good shape?

I dont know about an alignment @ this point since the smoothest road lately seems like im driving over RR Tracks doing 55 !!

Re-Soldered the fpr last week (great post on this site btw) So im counting it out..(not sure, but its still running so im ok)
but I hope to rent a fuel pressure gage this week too so thx for the specs!

you can buy a fuel pressure gauge at harbor freight for like 15 bucks... ive got one and its been a lifesaver.
