I have about 28000 miles on my 2007 XC70 and it will need front pads soon (4k miles or so). I have always used OEM brake pads, but I am wondering if there is something better/cheaper that this group recommends? I do a combination of around town and highway driving and put about 15k miles per year on my car. I do not want any squealing or excessive rotor wear, and whatever I use must work well with the anti-lock and anti skid systems.
Thanks, Bill Bender
Should I use OEM or aftermarket brake pads

Ake Bono pads seem to work well with Volvos but you're fairly well guaranteed that Volvo pads will not squeal or groan after a few miles
